Filling Station Owners to Protest Over Reduced Discounts and Distribution System

The Petroleum Distributors' Association has announced plans for a silent protest on the 6th of [current month] in front of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) headquarters, starting at 9:30 AM. This action follows a letter sent to the CPC Chairman outlining several grievances. A primary concern is the reduction of the fuel sales discount from 3% to 2%, which the association states has created significant financial difficulties for filling station owners. Additionally, the odd/even fuel distribution system is cited as causing severe operational challenges and hardship for employees. The association has warned of broader trade union action if their demands are not met.
