Fatal Aluthgama Train Collision Claims One Life, Sparks Safety Protest

A three-wheeler collided with the Sagarika express train at a railway crossing near the Ganegama Purana Temple in Aluthgama this afternoon. The accident resulted in the death of the three-wheeler driver and serious injuries to his passenger, who was subsequently admitted to Nagoda Hospital. Following the collision, which was captured on CCTV, residents staged a protest by blocking the railway line.
