A 59-year-old man, allegedly posing as a doctor, has been arrested in Polonnaruwa in connection with a series of crimes. The suspect, a resident of Pannala, Kurunegala, was apprehended near Deepa Uyana on Tuesday night (05) by the Polonnaruwa Division Crime Investigation Unit. Police investigations revealed that he had previously been arrested by police stations in Borella, Kandy, Minuwangoda, and Divulapitiya for various offenses and had served a two-year prison term. Authorities recovered several items, including a stethoscope and a fake identification card, from the suspect's possession.
