Explosion Injures Worker at Kekirawa Government Rehabilitation Centre

An explosion occurred in the kitchen of a government-run facility, identified as a Thanaayama, in Kekirawa this morning. The blast resulted in one worker sustaining serious injuries, who is currently receiving medical attention. The 38-year-old was initially treated at Kekirawa hospital before being transferred to Dambulla Base Hospital for further care. The incident caused significant damage to the kitchen's roof and household appliances. The cause of the explosion is yet to be determined, and police are investigating the incident, with the scene scheduled for examination by a judicial medical officer.
