Former Minister Duminda Dissanayake has been re-named a suspect in the ongoing investigation into a gold-plated T-56 assault rifle. The Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court, following instructions from the Attorney General, ordered that notice be issued for Dissanayake to appear in court. The Attorney General reportedly informed the court that sufficient evidence exists against the former MP. The firearm was previously discovered at the Havelock City apartment complex. Dissanayake, who had been released from the case earlier, will now be summoned to appear before the court on a future date.
