Eran Wickramaratne Appointed Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket Reforms Committee

Former Member of Parliament Eran Wickramaratne has been appointed as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Cricket Reforms Committee, effective April 29. This appointment follows an invitation from the President and the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Sunil Kumara Gamage, and extensive discussions with former national cricketers and captains. The committee's mandate is to oversee the future administration and implement structural changes within Sri Lanka Cricket. A professional banker by trade, Wickramaratne previously captained Royal College's Second XI, played for its First XI, and represented the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Team, demonstrating a strong cricketing background. He will lead a nine-member committee comprising individuals noted for their integrity and experience, including figures like Roshan Mahanama, Sidath Wettimuny, and Kumar Sangakkara.
