Dutch University Student Safely Rescued from Hatton's Singimale Reserve

A 20-year-old Dutch university student, identified as Luna Tuugat, was safely rescued by police after becoming lost in the Singimale Nature Reserve in Hatton. Ms. Tuugat, who hails from Amsterdam, Netherlands, is currently in Sri Lanka as part of an affiliated study program with the University of Ruhuna. She reportedly became disoriented on the mountain top while engaged in a research activity with friends on April 5 or 6. Officers from the Hatton Police Station, including the Crime Division OIC, successfully located and brought her to safety.
