Dodanduwa Cybercrime Ring Busted: 55 Foreign Nationals Arrested

In a significant operation, 55 foreign nationals were arrested today in the Dodanduwa area for their alleged involvement in an extensive online financial fraud and cybercrime syndicate. The group comprised 35 Indian citizens and 20 Nepali citizens, who were reportedly staying at a local lodge. The raid, a joint effort by police and military intelligence, led to the seizure of 22 computers and approximately 150-200 mobile phones believed to have been used in the illegal activities. Officials from the Galle District Deputy Inspector General's office confirmed the arrests and the recovery of the electronic devices.
