Dehiwala Grenade Attack Kills Two Children; Suspect Vehicle Found, Two Arrested

A grenade attack on a residence in Dehiwala early this morning has resulted in the tragic deaths of two children. The unidentified assailant reportedly arrived at the Sirisangabo Mawatha home around 3:00 AM in a three-wheeler, knocked on the door, and threw a hand grenade inside once it was opened. The children, who were asleep, sustained critical injuries and later died in hospital, while their father was also injured and is receiving treatment. Police have since located the suspect three-wheeler abandoned in the Ihala Bope area of Padukka. Investigations have led to the arrest of two individuals, including the person who allegedly provided the vehicle used in the attack.
