Deadly Fire Engulfs Islamabad Hospital Newborn Ward, At Least 14 Infants Perish

A devastating fire broke out at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital in Islamabad on Wednesday. The blaze, which occurred in the newborn intensive care unit of the maternity ward, is believed to have been triggered by a faulty air conditioning system. Authorities confirmed that at least 14 infants lost their lives in the incident. Reports indicate there were 15 newborns in the ward at the time, with one baby successfully rescued.
