CPC Mandates Strict QR Code Enforcement for Fuel Distribution

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has announced it will strictly enforce the mandatory QR code system for fuel distribution, warning of legal action against any fuel stations found issuing fuel without it. CPC Managing Director Dr. Mayura Neththikumara confirmed the system's requirement, citing reports of violations from Uva Province. This move, supported by Energy Minister Anura Karunathilaka and State Minister Anil Jayanth, aims to reduce fuel consumption and mitigate the impact on the nation's economy. Authorities believe that despite initial success, tighter enforcement is necessary to meet the country's fuel needs.
