On April 21, the Colombo Magistrate’s Court, presided over by Chief Magistrate Asanga Bodaragama, ordered the further examination of evidence in the case against former State Minister Diana Gamage to be held on May 12. Subsequently, on April 27, the court, under Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama, scheduled another further evidence hearing for May 26. The case, filed by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), involves charges of providing false information to obtain a passport and residing in Sri Lanka without a valid visa, violating the Immigration and Emigration Act. The CID has reportedly filed seven charges against Gamage, with the April 27th hearing pertaining to one of these charges.
