The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court has ordered the Director of the Colombo National Hospital to submit a detailed report on the health condition of retired Major General Suresh Sallay. Sallay, the former Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS), is named as the third suspect in the ongoing investigation into the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks. The court seeks to ascertain whether Sallay requires further inpatient medical treatment, as his prolonged hospitalization for over three months has reportedly prevented investigators from recording necessary statements, according to State Counsel Oswald Perera who appeared for the CID.
