Court Orders Travel Ban on Racing Driver Dilantha Malagamuwa Amid Land Fraud Probe

Colombo's Chief Magistrate has ordered an overseas travel ban for racing driver Dilantha Malagamuwa and three other individuals. The ban was requested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with an alleged scheme involving the creation of forged deeds and the unlawful sale of a valuable property in Colombo 07. The CID informed the court that the individuals have been evading court appearances and that their departure could obstruct the ongoing investigation into the alleged organized criminal activity. The court also noted that steps are being taken to arrest the individuals if found, as they have continuously evaded judicial proceedings.
