Court Orders Travel Ban on Ex-President Rajapaksa, Two Military Officers in Easter Sunday Attack Probe

The Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court has issued an order preventing former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and two military officials from traveling abroad. This travel ban is a procedural step in the ongoing investigation into the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks. The order was issued by Magistrate Pasindu Amaraseana, reportedly following a request from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID). The investigation also involves former State Intelligence Director, retired Major General Suresh Sale, who has been named as a suspect in related proceedings. The military officials affected by the ban have been identified as Colonel Mohamed Ansar and former intelligence officer Premananda Udalgama.
