Corporate Sector Boosts 'Rebuilding Sri Lanka' Fund with Multi-Million Rupee Donations

The government's ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund, established to provide relief to individuals impacted by Cyclone Ditwah, has received significant financial contributions from the corporate sector. Vidullanka PLC presented a donation of Rs. 2.5 million on April 7th, with its Chief Executive Officer, Riyaz Sangani, handing the cheque to the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, at the Presidential Secretariat. Separately, the Free Trade Zone Manufactures Association (FTZMA) contributed Rs. 5 million to the same fund on April 9th. FTZMA Chairman Dhammika Fernando presented their cheque to Dr. Kumanayake, also at the Presidential Secretariat. These contributions underscore ongoing efforts to support recovery and relief operations following the cyclone.

The Free Trade Zone Manufacturers Association (FTZMA) has contributed LKR 5 million to the Government’s ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund. This donation is intended to provide relief to those affected by cyclone Ditwah. FTZMA Chairman Mr Dhammika Fernando presented the cheque to the Secretary to the President, Dr Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, at the Presidential Secretariat this afternoon.
