Colombo Stock Market Sees Low Turnover Amidst Index Fluctuations

The Colombo Stock Exchange has recently experienced significant fluctuations in trading activity. On July 17th, the market recorded its lowest daily turnover in 15 months, amounting to Rs 722 million. This day also saw the All Share Price Index (ASPI) decline by 42.16 points, closing at 21,405.41. Other recent trading days also reported notable index drops, such as July 25th when the ASPI fell by 65.12 points to 21,279.65, and July 9th where it dropped 76.23 points to 21,466.00. The S&P Sri Lanka 20 index has also seen declines, closing at 5,999.68 on July 17th.
