Chinese National Arrested in Kohuwala Foreign Woman Murder Case

A 26-year-old Chinese national has been arrested by the Western Province South Crime Division in connection with the murder of a foreign woman in Kohuwala. The victim, identified by one source as Chinese, was found fatally attacked with a sharp weapon in a residence in Kalubowila on March 23. The suspect was apprehended on Sunday, April 5, at a hotel on Sir Anagarika Dharmapala Mawatha in Kollupitiya, following a public appeal for assistance by the Sri Lanka Police. During the arrest, authorities recovered three cameras and approximately 2 grams and 280 milligrams of 'Ice' (Crystal Methamphetamine) from his possession. The suspect is scheduled to be produced before the Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court today, April 6, as Kohuwala Police continue their investigations into the incident.
