CEB to Supply Power for New Year Festivals on Payment Basis

Minister Vijitha Herath announced that the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) is prepared to supply electricity for Sinhala and Tamil New Year festivals and other celebrations across the country. Speaking at a Cabinet media briefing on April 7, the Minister confirmed that necessary arrangements have been made to facilitate this provision. Organizers wishing to utilize this service must make relevant payments to the CEB. The power supply will be available for events held between April 15 and April 19, aiming to ensure uninterrupted electricity for various festivities, including musical shows, during the festive period.
