Cardinal Ranjith Criticizes Politicians' Hypocrisy, Calls for Principled Leadership

Archbishop of Colombo, His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, has expressed deep disappointment with the conduct of Sri Lankan politicians, highlighting a critical need for principled leadership. Speaking at the 125th anniversary of Pitipana Maha Vidyalaya in Negombo, the Cardinal criticized politicians for their hypocrisy, broken promises, and moral decline. He likened their behavior to chameleons changing colours, noting they often say one thing and do the opposite. Cardinal Ranjith stressed that the country requires leaders who adhere to strong principles.
