Following Cabinet approval, bids have been called for specific contract packages for the Rambukkana to Galagedara section of the Central Expressway. Packages 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2F each have six bidders, while Package 2D has five bidders. This is part of the Rs. 112 billion, domestically funded project.

Following Cabinet approval, contracts are being awarded for the Rambukkana to Galagedara section (Section 3, Phase 2) of the Central Expressway. This section spans 13.8 km to 32.45 km. The project, estimated at Rs. 112 billion and funded domestically, will be implemented through seven contract packages, with Package 2A construction costing Rs. 14.90 billion (excluding VAT).
