Cabinet Approves Sale of 115,000 Tonnes of Stored Paddy

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the sale of approximately 115,000 metric tons of paddy held by the Paddy Marketing Board (PMB). This strategic decision aims to free up crucial storage space and financial resources for the upcoming Yala cultivation season, ensuring sufficient capacity to purchase paddy from farmers. The sale will be conducted via a formal tender process, as per a proposal presented by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation.
