Cabinet Approves Rs. 1 Billion Project to Modernize 126 School Hostels

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a project to allocate Rs. 1,008 million for the renovation and upgrading of 126 school hostel buildings across the country. This decision follows the identification of deteriorating hostel facilities and inadequate maintenance, which authorities state have negatively impacted students' education and living conditions. The project is scheduled to be implemented between 2026 and 2028. Its primary objective is to provide students with a better educational and health environment by improving essential hostel facilities.
