Batuvatte Chamara, Key Organized Crime Suspect, Extradited to Sri Lanka

Manoj Suranga Liyanage, widely known as Batuvatte Chamara, has been extradited to Sri Lanka after his arrest in Azerbaijan. The 48-year-old resident of Ragama, Batuvatta is considered a principal suspect in organized criminal activities and drug trafficking, according to police reports. He had previously fled the country, hiding in Dubai before relocating to Azerbaijan approximately a year ago. Authorities confirmed his return via India, and he has been taken into custody by the Colombo Crime Division for further investigations into allegations including involvement in major crimes and facilitating murder.
