Batticaloa's New Public Library Opens Doors After Project Delays

The new Public Library building of the Batticaloa Municipal Council was ceremonially opened to the public today. President Anura Kumara Dissanayake attended the event, with former Member of Parliament M.A. Sumanthiran officially declaring the building open. In parallel with the inauguration, President Dissanayake also launched the library's official website. Addressing the attendees, the President expressed satisfaction over the successful completion of the project, noting that it had previously remained stalled midway. A key feature of the new facility is a dedicated unit designed to provide children with scientific and technological education.
