Bank Officer Arrested in Homagama with Heroin and Stolen Three-Wheelers

A 29-year-old man, identified as an account auditing officer at a private bank in Colombo, was arrested on April 20th in the Katuwana area of Homagama. The arrest, conducted by the Homagama Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau, led to the seizure of 20 grams and 830 milligrams of heroin from the suspect. Further investigations revealed the individual was wanted for stealing four three-wheelers across the Homagama, Maharagama, and Maradana police divisions, with four stolen vehicles subsequently taken into police custody. The suspect reportedly has 28 ongoing court cases and is a resident of Rasnayakapura, Nikaweratiya.
