The National Sports Council (NSC) of Bangladesh has dissolved the elected Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) led by Aminul Islam, appointing former national team captain Tamim Iqbal as the president of an 11-member ad-hoc committee. This decision follows an investigation that uncovered irregularities during last year's BCB elections held on October 6. NSC Sports Director Aminul Ehsan announced the development at a press conference, presenting the findings of a five-member probe committee. The council has also informed the International Cricket Council (ICC) about the report and the changes. Tamim Iqbal, at 37, becomes one of the youngest to lead the BCB in this interim capacity.
