At Least 21 Dead in South Delhi Hotel Fire, Foreign Nationals Among Victims

A severe fire erupted on Wednesday morning in a hotel and restaurant building in the Malviya Nagar area of South Delhi, resulting in the deaths of at least 21 people. More than 40 individuals were rescued and transported to nearby hospitals. Among the fatalities, 17 were foreign nationals from countries including Liberia, Nigeria, Mozambique, and Bangladesh. The building, which housed a restaurant on its ground floor, experienced the blaze around 8:48 am local time. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and the incident is considered one of the worst of its kind in the capital recently.
