Asanga Seneviratne Elected President of Sri Lanka's National Olympic Committee

Asanga Seneviratne has been elected as the new President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Sri Lanka. The election took place today, April 25, at the Sri Lanka Olympic House, where he secured the position for a four-year term. Seneviratne, who previously headed Sri Lanka Rugby and currently presides over the Sri Lanka Baseball Federation, garnered 16 votes. Among the five nominated candidates, Jaswar Umar received 11 votes, and Shirantha Peiris obtained 2 votes.
