Army Soldier's Body Found in Homagama Well; Suspicious Death Under Investigation

The body of an army soldier was discovered in a well near a paddy field in Homagama Pitipana. The deceased, who also worked as a trishaw driver after his military duties, had been reported missing by his wife when he failed to return home. His trishaw was found near the well where the body was recovered. Homagama Police are investigating the incident as a suspicious death, with magistrate and post-mortem examinations already conducted.
