Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama has ordered the remand of Dinuusha Chathuranga, also known as 'Keselwatte Dinuusha,' until May 5. The alleged organized criminal was presented to the court by Keselwatte Police on April 23 after his detention orders expired following his arrest in India and extradition to Sri Lanka on January 24. Police informed the court that three cases are pending against him. In a related development, a young man accused of creating a fake passport for Dinuusha to flee the country was also remanded until May 6 by the same Magistrate on April 21, following his presentation by Keselwatte Police.
