Agriculture Minister Assures No Fertilizer Shortage for Yala Season, Private Distribution to Resume

Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation, K. D. Lal Kantha, has assured that there will be no fertilizer shortage for any crops during the ongoing Yala season. Following a special discussion on the fertilizer sector, he confirmed that sufficient stocks are available nationwide and are being distributed through Agrarian Service Centres. The minister also announced that fertilizer distribution by the private sector, which was temporarily halted, will now resume as usual, ensuring adequate supply for crops like vegetables, coconut, tea, and paddy.
