Adverse weather, characterized by heavy rains and gusty winds, has severely affected 3,475 individuals from 1,113 families across seven districts in Sri Lanka. The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) confirmed that one death has been reported in the Batticaloa district due to the prevailing conditions. In response, 1,310 people have been moved to safety, with 489 families currently housed in eight relief centers. The inclement weather has also resulted in partial damage to 88 houses and one business. The affected districts include Ratnapura, Galle, Monaragala, Batticaloa, Kalutara, Colombo, and Puttalam.

The adverse weather has now affected 22,236 individuals from 5,803 families across eight districts between May 22-25, according to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC). The DMC reports 1,507 individuals from 379 families are currently housed in 21 temporary safety shelters, with an additional 248 persons staying with relatives. As of May 25, one death was reported in Gampaha and one injury in Colombo. A total of 860 houses have sustained partial damage, while two houses have been completely damaged. A separate report covering May 22-26 indicates 18,526 individuals from 4,854 families affected, with three houses completely destroyed and 926 houses partially damaged, along with one death and one injury.

The adverse weather has now affected 31,072 individuals from 7,983 families across eight districts, according to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC). The Gampaha District continues to be the most severely impacted, with 15,313 individuals from 3,950 families affected. The DMC report also notes one death in Gampaha. The Colombo District has 4,566 affected persons from 1,571 families, and Puttalam District has 4,265 persons from 1,219 families.

The number of people affected by adverse weather conditions has risen to 28,933 individuals from 7,482 families. The Gampaha District has reported the highest number of affected persons with 15,313 individuals from 3,950 families. The Puttalam District has 4,265 affected persons from 1,219 families, and the Colombo District has 4,566 affected persons from 1,051 families. The number of houses completely destroyed remains at two, with 807 houses sustaining partial damage.
