37 Chinese nationals, including six women, were deported from Sri Lanka after being detained at the Welisara Detention Centre for violating immigration laws and engaging in illegal activities. A team of 11 Chinese security officers arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake to escort the group, who were taken out of the country last night (May 4th) at 10:50 p.m.
