20 Illegally Assembled Luxury Vehicles Seized, Three Arrested in Organized Crime Probe

The Western Province North Crimes Division has arrested three suspects and seized 20 illegally assembled vehicles, including luxury models. The vehicles were discovered in Kadawatha, Meegahawatta, and Monaragala, following information obtained from the arrested individuals, who are residents of Kadawatha, Gampaha, and Ja-Ela. Authorities allege these vehicles were utilized for organized criminal activities. Furthermore, investigations have revealed claims that police officers and members of the armed forces may have assisted in the unlawful assembly of these vehicles. Information regarding nearly 40 additional illegally assembled vehicles has also surfaced, indicating a broader investigation.
