19 Injured in Weerawila Bus-Motorcycle Collision

Nineteen people were injured in a serious accident involving a private bus and a motorcycle in Weerawila on the Matara–Tissamaharama main road. The collision occurred near the Weerawila Divisional Secretariat when the bus, travelling from Tissamaharama towards Matara, struck the motorcycle. The bus then veered off the road and crashed into a tree, causing a branch to fall onto the vehicle. The injured, including 11 men and 8 women, were admitted to Debarawewa Hospital. Four individuals were reported in critical condition and transferred for further treatment.
