Indian Air Force Chief Concludes Sri Lanka Visit, Bolstering Defence Ties

The Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, concluded a three-day official visit to Sri Lanka on May 21st. Arriving on May 18th, his itinerary included paying floral tributes at the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) Memorial and receiving a Guard of Honour at the Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters. Air Chief Marshal Singh also held discussions with Sri Lanka's Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), on matters of bilateral importance. The visit underscored regional security cooperation, with the Air Chief Marshal addressing the National Defence College on the strategic imperative of 'Air Power in the 21st Century' and the necessity of robust bilateral military partnerships in the Indian Ocean Region.
